Swap early A/C instrument cluster for water cooled?.

Needing a new instrument cluster for a water cooled Devon (1984). Offered one from an air cooled. Both push fit speedos. I realise the A/C won't have water temp gauge. Is the A/c one able to be EASILY adapted to fit the Water cooled incl fitting the temp gauge? All advice welcomed. Many thanks

Seriously though, I could do with a quick answer, otherwise I'm going to travel 200 miles to get a known good replacement!!! Is there any other way to check my question out?
