leaking rear corners

Hi all Im new to this forum just purchased a vw club joker high top,anyway it rained very hard today and i dicovered a water leak in my rear roof corners of the van.filling up the rear shelf i havent seen this before with previous showers the only thind diffrence this time was the van was facing downhill i think this has been happening before i purchased the van as there are some rust patches in the leaking spots.any help would be great many thanks

are you sure that your skylights are watertight ? might be wortha look at the sealant ,it could be getting in there and running down inside and out on your shelf maybe ..

He could be right you know. This is certainly true of old windscreen seals where eventually they act in a capillary fashion, actually diverting water unseen (beneath seal itself) to where you sure don't want it. Sadly silicon sealant will not work and the only solution is a new seal and repair of any damage caused.

The skylights on my Joker looked fine but when I took them off you could see that the sealant was no longer sealing. Cleaned up and resealed both with s*kaflex. Also check the rivets at the top of the tailgate opening - they can leak as well.

I have had this problem on westy joker hi top. For me it was the
Rear body seal which was compressed in places. Try pouring water over back and get someone
To lie inside and see if it comes in. The gutter at back can also get rusted.

I did find the leak it was from the rear where the hi top meets the van I done what you have suggested thanks for your responce
