1.9 dg petrol later version

I can unscrew the bleed nipple in the engine bay ,but no water comes out..I have tried brickyards instuctions to bleed system but there is still air innit somewhere..Only water and no air comes out of radiator nipple...

The gauge never crept above the middle, now it does....Can I buy another engine bay nipple thingy or have I missed how it works?

I have a manuel but it`s in German.. :(

CAREFULLY take the small hose off from the cap of the t/stat housing and insert a thin (~2mm) drill into it ... these often get blocked up if some muppetry's tried using radweld or similar.

Irrc it isn't a bleed valve that lets air out as such. When you are bleeding the system after a coolant re-fill you open it to allow the system to warm up a bit faster

ahh so it is a tube with a hole in it ,I did try using a pin ....So pull it out with some mole grips or take the whole thing off and play with it in my vice...?

The thin tube onto which the hose up to the bleed ring is fastened has a 2 mm hole up the center which is easily blocked by radweld, K-seal etc etc so if you run a 2mm drill up the tube by hand it should clear any blockage.

I would be a bit more careful with it than that as they break rather easily :ok
