engine popping a bit and grey smoke on start up.

Hi there, I am a new VW owner, but love my (petrol) 1900 T25 Karisma camper already! I just bought it a few days ago, it hasnt been run much, has 11 months mot but I have noticed grey smoke when I start her up and she "pops" a bit when my foot is off the gas, also runs a little rough when idling. any ideas from you experts? thanks!!

Welcome to the forum.
Buy a Haynes manual and give your new pride and joy a bloody good service ... oil (15/40
mineral oil) & filter, air filter, fuel filter, plugs, leads, dizzy cap and rotor arm. THEN see how things are. Reading the wiki and technical pages also helpsyou to learn from other people's mistakes

thanks Ian, I got a Haynes manual so will give all that a go!
