Hi there,

I changed the petrol filter on my recently acquired DG engined T25 last weekend and was surprised to see what looked like brass shavings on the petrol tank side. Where would they have come from? Would it have made sense to have cleaned out the petrol tank at the same time?

Hiya, welcome to the club

I'd just keep changing the filter at regular intervals ... believe me you DON'T want to be dropping the tank until you absolutely have to

Glad not to have to drop the tank. It's full and I need to think twice before refilling these days

It's probably flakes of pure gold ... I'm lead to believe that's why it's so expensive
