Hello,

I snapped the nipple from the valve on top of the exansion hose. I really don't think the hose goes anywhere after it passes trough a hole in the chassi is this normal? Does anyone have any tips on how to pull the hose from the replacment part as it is on tight and I dont want to order another one.

snip the hose off, slit the one on the new bit then remove it and ditto the old bit , then if needed get a cup of boiling water dip hose in it for a minuter or so then push it on..

Yeah don't pull it off cold, that's when it snaps, exactly what I did. Doh. Got a replacement from breakers but not fitted yet. They are a proper snug fit, almost shrunk on, like said, heat should do it, cup o boiling water. Good luck

Thank you both. Good advice about the swap.

My thoughts are that the hose is pointless as it does not go anywhere once it passes through the chassis?? Just into a plastic cap or something.

No its not pointless , it is aa vent and if you block the thing off you will incur all sorts of problems, the thin pipe/hose is to duct the fumes away etc so to speak
