Could fuel pump be the culprit?

Hi everyone
I have a LHD swedish 2l manual fuel injection Aircooled T25 (one of the very first, I believe the engine is one that is found in Bays, a CV). Drove to Cromer last night. When i struck the engine up to come home, she was turning over but no ignition whatsoever! When the breakdown man came, he fired some 'easy start' into the engine and assessed that the lack of fuel was the problem. it has an electric fuel pump and I suspect this could be the culprit - has anyone had any experience of this?
Probably worth noting that I have very recently had an LPG conversion done, however I don't think this is the problem as the engine has to fire on petrol first before it switches over to lpg
Any thoughts/ suggestions greatly appreciated!
