Just about to put my bell housing back on and noticed the groove in the input/main shaft just about where the bell housing sits. Should there be a circlip there? can't see one in any diagram? why is the groove there?

Then moved to gearbox shift lever, the bit coming up vertically from the long linkage, I want to replace the rubber boots, how do you get the tensioning pin out, I can't see anyway to knock it out.

any help appreciated, I'm determind to get the van off the axle stands this weekend.

the input shaft may have a machined groove between the oil thrower and oil seal faces, not present on v late ones, purpose unknown, ignore

you have to punch the roll pin up into the base of the cup to remove the cup from end of rod, then recover the rollpin, there may be a plastic plug in bottom of cup, clean and reinstallation is the opposite

hey mick,

Van did make it off axle stands and did move briefly, but a hole in the clutch pipe soon put an end to the enjoyment.

I've only got one more T25 than i've got time for, like many I guess.

My wife will be in your area in about 3 weeks if your around.
