hello people out there in transporter land.
i have a 1600 diesel t25. behind the engine to the left is a group of 5 wires come together into the engine bay.
one goes to glow plugs.
one goes to oil temp. filter.
and two more go to coolant sensors.
damage means that the wires have been severed and the ends dissapeared so as a consequance i have no idea which go where.
anyone out there know the colour, origin and destination of the wires.

deep in doodoo and floundering. regards

can you see the colours of the wires?
fat red one goes to the glowplugs - your glowplug relay (red wire to position 87) should be in the black box in the engine bay
blue with white stripe goes to the head (that also goes to the glowplug relay position 'T', it tells the relay whether your engine is warm or not and gives appropriate glow time to the plugs)
blue/black wire goes to the oil switch - this ends up telling the dash whether you have oil pressure or not
blue/yellow goes to coolant temperature sender, again ends up on the dash - temperature gauge & flashy LED

if your wires are cut, and you need to lengthen - ensure that appropriate gauge wiring is used, especially for glowplugs that will draw a lot of current. your wires will melt if you use ones that are too thin
