Hi guys

Can anyone tell me if the speed of the engine revs has any effect on the brakes, as my brakes seem better at high speed and not so great when travelling slowly.

Not sure how the vacuum affects the workings.

Any air leaks on servo pipe work or on inlet manifold pipework?

The vacuum generated from the engine turning over is fed into one side of the servo-unit up in the cockpit. This negative pressure makes it easier to depress the foot pedal and make the brakes more responsive. When I had a problem with my servo-pipe it felt like there were no brakes at all. The pedal felt really wooden and needed a fair old stamp to slow the van down. You couldn't lock the wheels until the van was nearly stopped.
