Hello all technical wizards out there, can anyone tell me if this can be done please?

I may be able to get my hands on a Syncro minibus type jobbie, but the engine has gone west. So can I do a scooby conversion, then convert to LPG to keep power and have economy as well as 4x4 and enough room to move 7 peeps too?

I await your words of wisdom with anticipation. :D

Should be possible as all the 4x4 stuff is gearbox onwards. As long as you have a way of hooking up the scoob to the box then you're laughing. Adding LPG shouldn't be difficult either.

Look in the engine convertion forum, a few people are dooing scoobie conversions, on syncros even. Don't know nowt about LPG but I suggest you give a convertor a ring and speak to them about converting your chosen engine.

Steve at Gasure runs his scooby engined van on gas so the overall answer would appear to be YES.

Hi Shepster - hope you recovered from the weekend's decorating!!

This is a potential project to get VividInk (my PR) firm an event vehicle. There is a bright orange Syncro sitting in a field behind a garage - if Kev's guys can sort out the paint as they did for him, I can get a scooby engine from a friends company who break them and then Dave can gas it we could have the ideal vehicle for events where I need to get a team of 6 people to an event. Currently the cost of expenses alone is killing me and the saving would pay for the van in 12 months.

If I ever get George through his MOT will see you at a show soon!!

Paul.
