Fitting an earlier DG (rubber pipes) to a later Van 1986.
If I fit the later water pump thermostat ect but leave the older stile exhaust on (as it looks new) Is there any problems I might have?

Just power loss that's all.
later systems let the engine breath easier, and cost more
