Its an electronic pickup which replaces the function of the mechanical points of old.
Does not 'burn' the contacts or alter its setting as points do.

Yep, what Croc says
By the way, I hope when you do your sign writing you get the text proof read before doing the final thing ?
Check your sig =
"If you need it traditionally signwritten then ill do it"

Sorry, just being a troll here
the word in the sig spelled "ill" means not well, it should really be written " I'll " as in the abbreviation for "I will"
I got lashed once on here for pointing out a spelling mistake so I don't do it any more but couldn't resist pointing that one out - hope you don't mind, it was meant "in the best possible taste" as Kenny Everett used to say
A friend of mine was (sadly died now) a sign writer and was made famous for spelling "Accommodate" wrongly on a big sign in a big wine bar in Chester as "Acommadate"

they did not notice and he got paid as normal !
Then there is a pub in Chester where on the HUGE sign above they spelled "Marlborough" Marlbororough" and it caused such mirth and even got into the local rag, that they decided to leave it like that as an advertising gimmick ! link -

p.s. A drop of machine oil down the centre of the rotor shaft, where there is a bit of what looks like felt, is recommended to keep the centrifugal advance / retard mechanism smooth.

Capital i required + apostrophe.
Maybe it is the traditional greengrocers apostrophe!
