Loss of 3rd gear after o-ring replacement

I replaced the o-ring and seal on the reverse switch housing to cure a leak but since then I appear to have completely lost 3rd gear, 2nd is a bugger to get into so is 1st and reverse. Only 4th and 5th go in nicely now. :(

Is it just a coincidence, or by removing the reversing switch housing (which also looks like it supports the end of the shifter selector shaft) I have accidentally put the whole linkage out of whack? :?

I would say "obviously yes" but note I am not the gearbox expert on here, Aiden is :ok

Easy enough to put right though with a bit of trial and error adjustments.
Take care driving it like that though as if it is not going fully into gear you could easily damage the insides of the box and fixing that ain't cheap !

I've got all the linkage bushes to replace too but with it being my daily driver i'm having problems finding a dry spare day to do them. :(

Yep it was replaced. I think its just the linkage out of adjustment as it is just about possible to get 3rd, though not if you are in a hurry to change down when doing uphill.
