water pump

how can you tell if your water pump is on the way out , as when i first start up it makes a screeh sound
but ok alfter that . put new fan belt on but still the same .dont run hot .thanks. :ok :?:

dont know which engine but more likely the alternator, mine does it if belt is a touch slack , just on initial start up , have you p.a.s? they squeel as well

thanks mike ,i just took my fan belt of and i can move pump up and down and side to side , so i think it is the pump. :ok

hello mike .1900 dg engine its not leaking and dont run hot . but we are going to cornwall in two
weeks and pulling a caravan so i dont think i will chance it , sods law it will go .
joys of loveing t25s . :(

You do right, nice for it to be spotted by choice as opposed to the often on the way out somewhere.,nice new belts and the old for spare gives a lot of piece of mind, I just rejoined the aa, reckon the £70 is well worth it.lol
