I have a 3.5mtr caravanstore bag awning, easy to use, removable if really needed!
One thing to note the size is the bag not the awning, so 2.5 = 2.3, 2.8=2.5, 3.5= 3.2. (all approx)

Caravanstore's are definately the most popular by far, high top or poptop so thats got to tell you something....
On the other hand I've got a solid box type 2.5m F45Ti (wind out mechanism) and it's brilliant but they are so dammed expensive! and in the absence of a gutter I'm not sure how they fit?

And if you're interested there is a brand new one in the 4 sale section...3 metre.

Kev, I think yours is a 2.8. Sure looked longer then 2.5 every time I see it.
Think 2.8s always fits hightops. Several of us are using 3.1s with no problem, but have seen a few that are a couple inches longer then hightop. We had a 2.8 and replaced it with a 3.1... 16" makes a big difference inside awning when it rains.
Longer ones can easily be cut down. Remove pop rivets, cut tube to new length and re-pop rivet, cut bag / zipper on one end and re-stitched.
Job Done.

Hi,
I've been looking at Fiamma awnings and can't make my mind up... I quite like the F35 Zip but don't have a spare £400, the Caravanstore are looking like the easiest option, especially as there are a few on Ebay. Do they wind out in the same way as the fixed F45 type? Any niggles ?

No...simple manual pull out and wind up (two man job) the legs push in the ends of the roll. Thats why they are cheaper..ie: they don't have the mechanism and it all fits in a pouch rather than a solid box.

Hmm, the 2-man thing could be an issue (I knew the ex would have come in handy for something other than emptying the bins

), but then I'm sure I've managed worse things by myself **stubborn independent woman alert**
I'm keeping my eye on one or two now on Ebay, and after a particularly wet camping trip last weekend I'm keen on the idea of a side blocker or two too.

I believe one person can erect a Caravan Stor awning but I suspect it could be......difficult.

Lloyd, do you mean the 310 version of the caravanstore awning listed on this page?
http://www.agentfiamma.co.uk/fiamma-car ... 104-0.html
I thought about getting this version because people had mentioned that the narrower version doesn't give you such good protection from the rain either side of the sliding door. I decided not to as it would just about fit along the side of the hightop and assumed it might be too tight a fit and the reason most plumb for the narrower one. Have you managed to get this one installed OK then?
