What is it that are you trying to undo to get at the brakes - the wheel nuts or the two small drum retaining bolts or :?: ?

wheel nuts are 19mm and the two retaining bolts are 10mm.

the hub nut is 46mm, but you dont need to be undoing that

Ooooooer! you only need to remove the wheel bolts and small retaining bolts.
Drums can be stuck and sometimes the shoes themselves can prevent the drum coming off if they are adjusted into 'the worn groove' of the drum.
Basically what I'm saying is; slacken off the shoe brake adjuster through the backplate, give the drum a squirt with penertrating oil like 'plus gas' (around the studs and drum centre) and give the drum face 2 - 3 good smacks with a big hammer on the flat surface (between the wheel studs) not on the outside edge.

ok being bit thick, normally i remove the wheel, remove the 2 small nuts smack side of the drum with hammer and it comes away basically, this one looks like the old beetle style with a large castle nut and split pin ,none of my sockets will touch it biggest 24 mm,will have a look again tomorrow

As Mocki says - you don't need to remove the hub nut which is 46mm.
