Hi. Bumper end caps, the round bits seem to already be moulded in, anyone know how to do these? Cheers.

Black round twist caps that cover the nuts that hold the bolts that go through the lower rear quarters.

Never seen them moulded in before. Are you sure they are not just caps you can push out with a screwdriver?
I got mine from JK but it was quite a while ago

That's how I see it if I am understanding the question correctly.
I too got mine from JK = they broke the first time I went through a car wash
Got some used VW ones from a show last year = no problems

That's why you should never drive through a car wash. Damages your paint too. I wash it myself but occassionally I almost buckle and let the Polski's hand wash it for a fiver.

Thanks, I will try and poke them out with a screwdriver, might be how they're moulded. I have.separate screw in covers with the fitting kit.
How did they break through the car wash, did they go brittle?

I don't often use a car wash, normally do it by hand but this is my business van as well as our camper, and if it is very mucky and I am visiting customers it creates a bad impression, hence the car wash
The JK ones are just weak, the broke around the mounting bolts, they were only a couple of months old at the time.

I had another look at the bumper end caps, wishful thinking, I have about 200 years of rust to grind off the bumper first! anyhow, there's these long bolts that are pointed like a nail at the end with plastic washers, do you bash out these false caps and push these through, then tap them through the bodywork, and do them up with a nut on the other side of the bodywork? trouble is there is no nut for them in the fitting kit?

Mine are fitted to the bodywork with self tapping screws, well they will be when I finally finish the roller painting

mine were bolts with a nut inside the bodywork and a round plug that pushes into the hole - needless to say they were VERY rusted and had to cut 3 of them off!! Just one of those many awkward jobs

Tip: Stainless self tappers

Think I have got what you mean, they are are called panel screws a sort of self taping bolt. Originaly they would have just screwed into the body work if you have enough of it left, but you can fit a nut and washer if you want. The plastic plug should just push out of the end cap.

Another tip ... set rivnuts into bodywork and use greased stainless socket heads
