Hi there new to this site just looking for some ideas of whats happening. On my girlfriends T25 the oil light starts to flash after driving for about 2 minutes i have checked the oil and it's at the correct level, so i'm thinking it's either a faulty oil preasure switch or possibly the oil pump not working correct ? any ideas anyone?

well the switches are cheaper than the pump and easier to change.
But make sure the connections are good on both switches ... clean up the contacts before you start spending money

Switches are cheaper but like wise would prob want to make sure that I had good oil pressure. Do you have access to oil pressure gauge? Prob not so you will have to make sure wiring connection is good and with the switches less than £10 change but make sure you get the same rated switch. and if you have 2 on your engine, change both and fit both in the correct locations. :ok

I have this on Notty, my 'new' 1983 1.9 petrol T3. The oil light flashes continuously but there is no problem with pressure. The weird thing is that if you turn the headlights on, the oil light goes out! So I am thinking there is a bad earth or a short somewhere.

Notty is at the bodyshop for a few weeks but when she comes out, that is one of my first targets. Along with fixing the
- Dashboard Illumination
- 'cigarette light' power sockets
- Fridge
- Water pump for the sink
- Speakers
- etc
- etc...

Ali.
