diesel into petrol syncro

hi just bought a 1.9 westy synro .is there any problems fitting in a turbo diesel ?

I have just done this on my syncro, the only down side is the cost of all bits, lots of bits needed to do it properly.

Andy's right, I'm still collecting all mine to convert 1.9wbx syncro to diesel been. And to do it all properly adds up.

I'd go as far as saying it might even be cheaper to put a subaru in there...

there are a couple of 1.9 d and td engines on ebay when i looked this morning.

hi ive got the normal convershon bits is there eny thing only syncro. also are they good for towing as ive been told that it shags the gearboxes . only asking as ive a t25 1.9 that i use all the time for towing useing a 1.9 td but i got nicked in germany for over weight an the synco would be ok as it has a tow weight of 2.5 kg . thanks for the responce .john

you could get nicked here for overweight, i think the trailer can only be 80% of the tow vehicle weight when the trailer is fully loaded.
