This is the van

And this is the first problem

There was alot of filler in the arch and rust underneath it. The seam rash wasnt as bad as it looked but after its done it will be trated.

Started to remove

And removed

Amaizingly there wernt any other repairs required.
Tacked in

Good fit. Good lines

Welded and sealed

Onto the other side. Front and back knackered

cut out

And fitted. Again fairly straightforward with no other repairs needed.

Rear lower corners are going to be replaced just didnt have the panels to fit.
More to follow as and when

A quick update..
Rotten arch and step.

Cut off and trial fitted arch

Rotten bits of step cut out

Arch fitted

Started to repair cab step. A long story
The cab step was bought off schofields and was an absolutely crap fit. It didnt fit anywhere and all profiles were wrong. I tried to cut bits out to use but none of it was right. So its being taken back and im going to get a body cut if i can.

A quick update

An original bodycut was used for the step rebuild instead of a repair panel.

All done

Sliding door seal channel was gone

and all done

Rear corner being cut out

When i started on the rear corner this happened.
Thats it for now.

What about schofield front arches? Only other option is to use an 25 year old one cut off a van which may look ok but you never know

I agree with micky the steps are crap. The arches arnt great either as they dont match up anywhere near with the step. It took a lot of bending and working to get it something like and it will need a skim of filler. I was lucky to get a cut off a bus that was usable. It makes a change.

Righto an update.
Started off cutting out a bit of rear valance

And let in a piece

Rear lower corner went in finally

With good panel lines

The bottom of the front arch was rotten so decided to just use a piece of a repair panel instead of the whole lot. When i removed arch this happened

A quick patch made up and let in

Arch and a couple of other repairs made

And finally had to do the lower corner/ cab step. Again didnt fancy a repair panel so got a bodycut and let it in.
