Help extending slide door hinge.......

Does anybody know where I can get hold of a strike/stop plate for a (LHD) slide door central runner,
It's the metal plate bit that thr rubber sits in
as in photo below.
I need to tack one on to shorten the lenght of the track, for an extended hinge.
I would rather tack a new stop than shorten the runners so I do not have to fabricate a tab for the cover, and can easily revert back if needed. I thought about putting a bit of steel plate in there but as you can see from the next photo it has other uses.
I also need to remove the track anyway as this is what I found....
Is it just held on by the spots you can see, and has anybody actually pulled one off without butchering it?
any ideas greatfully recieved.
