Just refit my fridge and I noticed the top of the fridge hot exhaust flue is open to the internal side with a sloping upwards piece I am just checking that there isn't a bit missing to block this off. Got a pic but just off to the pub, if anyone else is familiar could they let me know if this is correct? Should it be open or blocked? As it is the heat from the rising gasses should vent externally the heat preferring to take the uphill route rather than into the van but it 'feels' wrong.

thanks,I suppose too many CPU fans behind the fridge might not be a good iudea as you will create negative pressure sucking fumes from the exhaust into the living space. I have seen some crazy over the top fan set-ups.

Well it's not exactly a wind tunnel is it..I mean a couple of 80mm fans creates the slightest of breazes from the top vent and as the grille is large and open I can't see this air movement creating much of a vaccume/negative pressure.
Besides the fans should be pointing/blowing through the fins, a fair distance from the flue.
And
The flame is tiny (one single small gas flame) about a third of the size of your average boiler pilot light.
This is never going to represent any sort of hazard in a camper and the amount of CO produced is extremely small indeed.
I think people imagine a massive ring or line of flames, like a central heating boiler and this just isn't the case, the fidge runs on one very small flame.

it has a thin ali band which takes the panel screw (just) I got the one with the pwm speed control I think I should have gone for the manual control one. It may have been nice to have a fan with the LED on it for those who want the strange blue glow from behind the fridge. its nigh on impossible to see the fan when its in situ to check its all working. Sigle panel screw into original fan hole with a strip of puncture repair rubber behind to prevent vibration.
