So after much waiting and spending money to finally get some glue that is up to the job of stick the batons to the fibreglass hightop i have discovered that the previous side bits to it (which i stencilled and cut out) are the wrong shape and leave a great feckin gap at the top.

Has anyone got any tips on how to measure and cut some better ones? Was guessing on a cardboard adventure!

Oh the joy!

Get a straight timber battten, and mark it off in 100mm (or other convenient) intervals along its length. At each of these points, measure the distance at right angles from the batten to the roof. Then mark the same dimensions on a sheet of card.

OR

Fix the wrong shaped ribs temporarily in place with some blu-tak then mark all the way along them the same distance vertically from the roof (ie 10mm). You can use a little bit of wood as a spacer to do this. Cut along the line you have drawn. This is the new curve you need.
