hi,

as u may have guessed im posting again about my ticking noise...whats weird is that Iv changed the oil and filter, topped up my coolant and added some engine wear reduction stuff to the oil...and it worked kinda...the oil light no longer stays on and it drives fine...but the clicking sound remains but only in the day..at night it is there for about 3 minutes of driving and then sounds absolutely amazing after that...which makes me think it might be temperature related? or maybe just coincidence?

? in the evening has the van been driven during the day...? sounds like it's losing pressure in the tappets overnight which suggests they are tired, but difficult to diagnose from the net.
did you ever get the oil p checked ?

can you record the sound and post it so we can have a listen?

do your lights work well? it looks like you will be night driving a lot>

I can't say this will definately cure yours BUT ... when we got ours it hadn't been run much and rattled quite a lot on start-up. I had to change the oil 3 or 4 times before the last of the treacly gunge was cleared away, i.e. change oil - run untill warm - drop oil and repeat 3 times.

You don't have to chuck the filter away every time. Now the only time a tappet rattles is when it's oil-change time again.
