Rubber Tee Piece between servo pipe and carb.

I just wanted to know if anyone has got jubilee type clips securing the tee piece that fits between the servo hose, balance pipe and manifold on the left hand side of the engine bay?
When I was trying to replace my 009 dizzie I noticed the tee piece was just pushed on to the metal pipes without anything to secure it so I fitted three jubilee clips. This afternoon I noticed that after running the engine for a while the tee piece had softened up enough to start getting sucked flat? Since fitting the jubilee clips I have noticed that the "feel" on the brake pedal varies from "normal" to "why aren't we stopping?" I suppose if the tee is getting sucked flat that would explain the random loss of servo assistance? So should the tee piece be clamped at all, or has fitting jubilees highlighted a different fault in the servo line or elsewhere?
