so the van is going to get sold soon... :(

Brought from Pete Nice (Aircooled Technic) in May 2008 and been used as a Daily work vehicle and weekend Surf bus ever since with no problems or breakdowns the whole time :D (engine was replaced shortly before i bought it)

The van is a 1989 14'' Syncro Transporter JX 1600 Turbo Diesel in White;

* Non-Difflock German import
* Caravelle captains seats (working armrests) and 'velle cab door cards
* Wind deflectors, tinted cab windows and opening quarterlight windows.
* Tinted front indicators
* Aluminium roof rack
* Rear ladder
* 2 sets of wheels- 1 set of winter road 14"tyres, 1 set 15" Audi alloys with big mud tyres
* Jail bars
* New Battery & Font Brakes
*MOT till Feb 2012 tax till oct 2011

Very basic in the back- 'velle 2 seater chair with belts, large storage box (doubles as Bed) with 3 seperate compartments inc. rear heater/blower, no rear side cards or rear headliner. Has a few dents and scratches and a little seam rash so respray recommended at some point.

Could do with a few ideas on the price to advertise it at!
Cheers
Ben

Cheers Karl,

I can see by your collection you know your buses!

It will be a sad day when i have to watch her drive off up the road! ....But i have also been looking up the Syncro's available in Australia and the one posted in the forum from Tazzy was very nice indeed... at $8000 i would be very tempted to get one from there and do a drive across the Nullabeen Desert back to W.A.

I will be advertising the van around mid-May i think...

Much appreciated,

Ben

Fill it full of bits and bring it with you, I wish i'd brought my van when I came over. Costs more in shipping to gets parts to WA than buying them.

Are you moving to Perth? It would be good to see another syncro on the beach for windsurfing and surfing.

Our syncro was also owned by P.N. and a few people here know what it's really like in the metal... :wink:
