hi all,

i'm in the process of changing my antifreeze i've noticed i have a blocked radiator, or certainly seems that way as it's not getting hot.

as a result of this i'm not driving the vehicle as i don't want to cook it

my question is what's the best way to unblock the radiator before i top up with that lovely purple stuff :?:

it's a 1.9 petrol by the way...

not sure you can, but back flushing it might werk........
there used to be, long ago a substance called "Radflush" which might have werked, but i dont know if it still exists.......

are you sure the water is circulating? it might not be the rad at fault.

not too sure if the water is circulating, the rubber hoses in the engine bay are getting hot. but one of the long pipes underneath is not getting hot but the other one is?

Same problem as mine possibly, think the thermostat isn't opening. The heater matrix gets hot, but radiator is cold. If u fire the engine up and allow it to warm up to about 3/4 on the gauge, feel the outlet pipe from the thermostat housing, if it's cold, sounds like thermostat is stuck cosed.
