Getting fuel to the engine

Hey, I have a 1.9 petrol that has been sat up over the winter on a sloping drive nose down & I have neglected to start it up on a reg basis.
I now have no fuel reaching the pump, so the engine won't start, if I prime the carb its all fine, have checked the pipes & they are dry.
My question is now do I get the fuel flowing again?? is there a mechanical / manual way of pumping the fuel?
Thanks
Sean

if it were me, which it wouldnt be, id be firstly replacing the filter, then putting some extra, fresh petrol in the tank, and then taking the pipe off the pump and having a suckthro, then putting the pipe back on and spinning it over after adding a little petrol down the carb ......should sort it.....

Found a small leak at the entrance to the fuel filter (large can style one) all the fuel had leaked out over the winter lay up, so new hose, filled the filter with new fuel, suck through to that point, prime carb & started first time.

No worries, glad to help, I find it frustrating when threads fade out without knowing the outcome, & this forum is very very helpful, Thanks for all your help
