So we've started looking at ferry routes - and of course they ask the length of the vehicule...

<quick google> T25 = about 4.5m. But then there's the bike rack. Fiamma. Two bikes. (not currently fitted, else I'd get the tape out, before you ask)

Is that going to come in under 5m? Will the chappy get his tape measure out and be sceptical? What do you lot declare it to the ferry company as?

As for height - "up to 3m"... <blink> Yep. Just.

Ive been on dozens of ferries using all the major companies and have never seen a tape measure. I do know they may charge more at the arrival gate if a booking is obviously misleading -so if you claim youre driving a 4x4 but its actually a six metre motorhome then you may be in trouble, and could get asked to pay the difference. A few centimetres here or there isnt going to matter.

One of the ferry companies specifies a max height of 1.85m - our tin top is about that height at the front and slightly higher at the rear. Im declaring it as coming within that height.
