I bought one last year at VF and am wondering if it was out of a petrol or diesel van and would it make a difference when it comes to fitting.
Thanks

rev counters are differant for petrol and derv.
Petrol gets signal off coil.
Derve gets signal off alternator.
Not sure how to spot the diference.

The rev range is different I think the petrol one starts to go into the red at about 5000rpm.If you bought complete set of clocks there will be a glow plug symbol under the battery warning light if it is diesel. If you have diesel rev counter and want to sell it I would be intrested.

they are different - easy way to tell is the circuit board that goes with it - does it have the glow plug led - if not it's a petrol...if you haven't got the circuit board it isn't going to work.....I 'm guessing you haven't got the circuit board and are going to ebay it : )
