Hi All
have just done a 1.9 - 2.1 transplant in my T3, after bleeding the cooling system today, the inline electric fuel pump has decided to give up the ghost.
Doeas anyone know where this pump and the filter can be purchased from, Just looked on JK and couldn't see anything. Alternatively does anyone have a spare laying about that I can purchase?
Cheers
Nick

Hi Nick,
Euro car parts (
http://www.eurocarparts.com) list this:-
BOSCH 441440510 ELECTRIC FUEL PUMP T25 2.1 DJ MV SS 86-92
£72.45
Search: Volkswagen
1987
Transporter T25 2.1 Digijet DJ : 82 kw
ELECTRIC FUEL PUMP
Maybe fitted to other vehicles, I don't know but someone will be along who does, and could be easy to find in a scrappy. Are you sure its the pump and not 12v supply or earth probs? I had a fuel pump relay fail in a Volvo a few years ago.
Hope this helps.

ahhhh i didn't think of that
would some of the injection model golfs have a similar/same fuel pump. The £72 is a bit out of my budget at the mo lol.
At first the pump stopped altogether, when i was under the van, the pump was clicking when i turned to 2nd stage on the ignition, i jumped it with a spare 12v battery and it free'd it up, its now running noisely but am not getting any pressure, just the gravity from the tank.

Nick,
I was told (by a garage monsieur in France) when aforementioned Volvo pump did start to complain noisily, that a blocked filter could cause it to shout. Have you tried the pump output without the filter attached? I would hazard a guess that any pump supplying a fuel injected lump of similar capacity to the 2.1 DJ would be worth a look, but what do I know, brought up on gravity fed Amal carbs on motor bikes in the '50s as I was? "Could it be that life was oh so simple then" as the song says!
Usually Syncrospares,
http://www.syncrospares.co.uk I think it is, comes back and says ' Us 'ave got a gurt wallage of they down yer' (apologies me dears but I be Devonshire too!) Translation " We have a large quantity of those down here" Don't spend out until all other avenues have been explored.
