HI folks bit of advice if you an please for a novice.

Apart from wiring my 3 strip lamps (2x 8 watt and 1 x 8 watt) direct to the new leisure battery with an appropriate in line fuse for each i was thinking of wiring them to a auxiliary fuse box high up, thus saving loads of cable going to the battery and keeping it neat and tidy. Just wondered if any one can advise on how this is wired up please.

Was looking at something like this one though have seen many others.
http://www.justkampers.com/shop/auxilia ... 11327.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
and using this fusebox link
http://www.justkampers.com/shop/fuse-bo ... 13714.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

I assume i attach a positive feed from the battery to the link to supply power to the various terminals. Just a bit unsure how i do that. what would i attach to. also where would the negative feed go is that attached to the fuse box?

Also where would the 3 negative leads go from the lights? Would they need to be earthed to the body work near where the lights are situated or would there be an earth on the fuse box they are attached to.

Sorry if i sound a thick as a plank. I'm more than capable of attaching direct to the battery. I had my old leisure battery under the rock and roll bed but it died so managed to source a new one that will fit under the passenger seat so starting from scratch again.

Thanks

Dave aka Hammy

Fuse board and link would be fine, just make sure you run a heavy enough cable to them to power everything (you will probably end up adding more than the lights at a later date).
Earth can be any bare metal point, for the lights a screw used to attatch them would probably be fine, for heavier wattages a better earth would be needed or you would get heating due to poor earth.
Hope this helps

Nice cable size guide here...
