Just a quickie!
Has anyone swapped a 1.6D for a 1.9D non turbo?
Was there much more power?

there is a few bhp difference and it is noticable. and is worth the effort, you wont be doing the quarter mile in 10 seconds though....

Thanks for your help. I did't want to waste my money. I need to drive from Northern Poland to South coast of UK with a trailer and all my rubbish, as moving back to the UK after 13 years working here. The little 1.6 struggles at the best of times as the camper weighs 1.8tons.
Thanks again.

I've done the 1.9d swop and the van moves a bit quicker. As CJ says yep well worth it. Ideally the 1.9td is better but it depends on whats available and how much extra stuff you want around to play up on you.

or if you want to race your camper, you could stick a jet turbine in it, about 90 grands worth, you should get back to poland in about 2 hours, dont forget the wings might have to be altered to enable wings from lockheed, the euro fighter has a decent wing setup but can be a tad pricey !!
