Coming home module installation

Hi, are these any good and has anyone installed one?

COMINGHOME.jpg

Once wired in they turn the lights on when you activate the central locking. It would of course work best with a remote, I dont have a remote installed yet, but do have central locking.

So it would be a nice gimic

it turns the headlights on, like with new cars.

possibly more, like interior lights

Can only find it in german

Coming Home function:
Once your vehicle is completed with the central locking system, the low beam is switched on for 10-30 seconds. (The time is adjustable via rotary-free).

Leaving Home function:
Once you open your car with the central locking / remote control turns your lights on the vehicle. Either turn off the lights when the headlights turn on, or when the preset time has elapsed. (Whichever occurs first.)

This module also has a light sensor.
thanks to the light sensor, the function is executed only when it is dark.

Oh. Well if I'm absolutely honest I fail to see much (any) point unless I'm completely missing it. So you remotely unlock your cab doors and the headlights come on? Even if it's the cab lights it seems a lot of trouble as they come on the moment you open the door anyway.

or am I completely getting the wrong end of the stick?

E D I T: Didn't see links before I posted the above - the translated page doesn't show so I had a quick look at the german page. I still don't 'get it'....

I edited previous post

Well the best solution would be, when at some distance away. u press your remove to unlock the car, and turn headlights on, which lights your path to the car.

its on most new cars, just a little gadget for 20 euros

u notice this in the country when its quite dark and would like the added tech aspect, as most people see the bus and things its a banger

I'd be worried that, by the time I got in my van and went to start her, my battery would be flat because the lights had been on too long :rofl

Was about to say that! To be honest I don't like turning anything on unless engine is running :D

...and we've grown up learning that it's best to park under a street lamp!
Used to think it was to put-off would-be thieves, but now I see it's to find my way safely to the car without standing in some dog poop
