Does anyone know how the Electrolux fridge door comes off,I don't want to lever the hinges up in case they snap ,the bottom plastic bit has come loose.

As far as I'm aware you have to take the top swivel bracket off, the door then lifts off from the bottom hinge (2 phillips screws as I recall)

Do you have to pull the fridge out to do that Tex? I don't fancy that.

If your fridge is the old 2 way ( gas and 12v only) one then you can take the top vent off and get at the screws on the top hinge using a stubby or 90 degree phillips screw-driver.
Failing that it's a 3 inch slide out job, with all that entails...side scews, exhaust vent etc.

Thanks for the onfo Tex,mine is the later 3 way type so it looks like a slide out job,is that much of a problem ?,from what you say it's held in with side screws but does the exhaust vent spell trouble or is it done from outside the van.

It is possible that the exhaust vent can be manouvered from outside the van - taking off the external covers etc - but it has to be spot on to ensure no fumes can escape. It's far better - if you can see it - to slide the fridge in place and at the same time to locate the exhaust correctly. On my fridge (which is sealed off from the van interior) I can remove the top external vents to fit the exhaust pipe from the outside.
Hope this is of some help.
