I have non-standard porsche alloys fitted and today had the rear tyres replaced on a like for like basis (255 45 R17) but on getting home relaised the fornts are smaller at (205 50 r 17). Have I ballsed up (and learnt my lesson) or can these be run as they are?
Advice greatly appreciated.

Just be aware of the weight ratings on your tyres (and wheels) and as long as they are up to scratch.........

Different tyre sizes on the same axle are acceptable, normally wider on the rear.
As others have said, as long as the load rating of your wheels rims and tyres are upto the job..that's an absolute minimum of (95 load index rating, 97 or higher preferable) are these tyres 95 or higher?
As is
255 45 R17 95? V load rating then speed rating.

also note your speedo will be out
it will show you are going faster than you are. not a bad thing tho
if its not your fault i would go back to the supplier
