Hi Everyone.
Went to start the bus last night, dead! No ingnition lights.
Charged the Battery today and connected it back up, still the same.
I put a jump lead on the earth terminal to earth on the other battery and bobs your uncle, lights came on.
I think my battery has gone for good, can anyone confirm please?
Battery had been a wee bit iffy during the winter with regular charging just to keep her topped up.
Thanks in advace folks.

unlikely its totally nothing in it that quick?
get it to a halfrauds or battery place after fully recharging it off the vehicle for a drop test.

Cheers Moki, i haven't been in her for 3 weeks and thought it very strange to find nothing!
8hr charge today and still the same. I will stick her back on charge and see what happens, will need to to get her going. I thought the cells may have gave up.
Thanks for advice
john

they maybe have, but you need to give it a chance, but cranking batterys rarely survive total flatness
worth a try tho....
just take note of the battery capacity and the charger output..... if its a 12ah charger, it will take 10 hours to charge anywhere near fully........
if its a 3ah charger it will be 3 times as long......

I'm not sure I'm understanding this.
You charged up your starter battery, reconnected it to the van but still no lights; nothing?
You then ran a jump lead from the negative earth of the starter battery to the negative earth of the leisure battery and the lights came on?

Yes Guys thats what I did.
I didn't think it was the earth lead as it worked when connected.
Made me think it was the battery on the earth side, if you know what Im on about.

Check the starter battery earth lead connection to the bodywork for loose fitting, corrosion, etc
