THE VAN THAT TIME FORGOT! (Clock's Bust)

Not a biggy but just want to get those little jobs out of theway while she's otherwise running well. To be honest the clock (bog standard analogue in the dash) has never worked since I got the van but I thought I'd ask you before I get my hands dirty. Are there common faults on these or anything particular to look for? The push and turn adjuster is fine, it just appears to be getting no juice. Any pointers appreciated.

Just try and trace back from the fuse box the wires (basically the positive wiring comes from the back to the interior lights and then goes off to the radio/cigarette lighter and the clock) i take it that there is no problem with fuse as you havent mentioned any probs with interior lighting.
What about radio is that working? is one even fitted?
Hope this helps alittle

Thanks for that mate, you've got me thinking now, the courtesy lights work fine but the radio has history. I found soon after getting the van that for some reason the radio had been wired to the brake lights fuse rather than its original. There must be an issue with that circuit and may be the source of the clock problem. I'll have a play and see what falls out, thanks again. Keep you posted.
Phil.

put a 12v feed on the back of the clock.
commonly blown is the pcb which is the blue plastic which has copper tracks on it taking the power. follow the 2 on the clock connections and see if they are incomplete anywhere
