how to revitalise a mop disc after it's gummed up with seam sealer?

there's plenty of pad on the overlapping sandpapers, but it's gummed up on the edges with sticky seam sealer. i tried to get it off by mopping a bit of clean stone/masonry but it's not coming off.

is the only way to replace it?

Do you remember the old Doc Marten shoes that were around a while ago?
The yellowish rubber on the bottom of them is great for unclogging sandpaper.
Alternatively, you can buy rubber for that exact job from Axminster. Works well for cleaning "woodwork sandpaper", so it might do the job on yours.
