All, help

I have just recently bought a lovely 1980 air-cooled T25 and drove it back from Scotlant to Kent with no troubles.
Among a few things is a really bad water tank in rear that sits between rear door and wardrobe. It has Devon in large letters on it's front. Can I get a new one anywhere or am I stuck with purchasing a generic caravan water tank?

I have a 55ltr tank from CAK tanks that I'll be putting up for sale soon. Sat under the R&R bed and took it out for the LPG tank but might fit where you had yours. Needs cleaning but it's in excellent condition. Can measure it for you if you're interested.

Thanks all for replies, Firstly KevtheRev sorry I didn't intend to be impolite, I totally agree manners are the last thing left that are cheap these days.

Bottle is dashed with cracks and holes, laminated from age and I will not be using it for drinking water or more correct wife will not let me.

Not sure but 55 Litre may be to large, current bottle is about 800x400x250mm tappered at top and wheels on bottom with submersible pump in bottom.

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news but they are very hard to get hold of. I only know cos I sold one a couple of years ago and had a load of responses and guy who bought it had been looking for a couple of years. Your best bet is to measure the space and try and find something that will fit.

yes a classic Devon tank, sadly no longer made so something similar will have to be found.
I also think you may have to relocate the tank, either under the camper with a self priming pump
or as suggested a tank under the bed.

Many campers have them under the vehicle between the chassis rails. Simple enough to plumb and fit pumps, or even use your existing pump that came with your old tank.
I would recommend CAK tanks for a replacement as suggested.
They have everything you will need, from fixings to fittings.
You have to down load the catalogue or have it posted.

Oddly I know of a tank like yours that is not used, but the fella who has it won't sell, believe me I have tried after reading your post.

I am going to purchase a large inexpensive Water Jerry can and drop in the pump for now. This will allow us to travel around over the summer, get to know the bus and our needs of it and give me a better idea for the refit I will do over the winter.
