Really great mod! Not only can you have light when you open up the slider but if you want to leave the slider open and not turn off each interior light. Then just cut a notch in that switch plundger. Cutting a small notch about halfway so the switch can be depressed and held in place. Once the sliedr is closed, it will reset the switch. You don't need a Jetta switch, yours will do just fine.

The notch in the pin makes it so that you can push it in and slightly down and it will stay there until you push the pin in and up again. You can open and close the doors when the pin is in the notch and it won't turn on the lights.

Pushed in and sitting in the notch for night time stealthy maneuvers.
