Syncro Steel wheels

Hey folks,

I'm looking for some "syncro style" steel wheels 14" or 15" to go on the new vsyncro. Ideally poweder coated black ones with a rugid look, but standard ones would be ok. Does anybody know anywhere that will sell these at a good price?

A simple swop with no mods would be best, I did post this in the wheels section https://club8090.co.uk/forum/viewtopic.php?f=41&t=82472" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; but was hoping some advice from the syncro owners would be best

Thanks!
:ok

Go for the 15" Mefro steels as they are plenty strong. Some Merc wheels will fit also. 14" rims are hard to get tyres for these days

Powder coating steel wheels is not a good idea as it just makes them rust quicker when the coating cracks.

After seeing the difference in metal thickness between merc steels and mefros I'm going to be replacing my merc steels with mefros pretty soon.

But you can straighten them if you manage to ding one...maybe not a dent as big as that  but trying to hammer out dent in a Mefro can't be much fun, eh Jed?
I've found in the past that letting the tyre down and using Mole Grips to pull a dent back out is more effective than beating the wheel to death with a club hammer

Much cheaper to replace a mullered merc rim than a mefro too.

Mefros also bend and they are indeed much harder to hammer straight.

Tell me about it got a Mefro with a huge ding in it from Wales and still working out how to straighten it :?
Theres also two schools of thought regarding Mefros one being they are good and strong and won't usually bend, the other is to use Mercs which do bend but may save your tyre which is a lot more expensive, worth thinking about.

You got any pictures of that Mefro? Would be interested to see what one looks like with a ding as I have never seen one.

Can anyone put me in the direction of buying the wheels? websites or places near or around Chester or Newcastle.
I like the idea of gloss black but happy with new standard wheels.

I've got 6x Mefros I'm selling :D

I'd take £360 for the lot if you want them (or anyone else....)

I'm in North London.

Thanks, David.
