alreeeeet guys!!!!
ok, well i have had my exhaust replaced by a mate of mine, and he says that he thinks the bus is over fueling and summit or other to do with the dizzy needing adjusting? dnt get me wrong, he knows a thousand times more about engines than i do, so i have no reason not to believe him, she runs well but does seem to be a bit flat at bottom end, but then she picks up fine, and even tho im not expecting a 60+mpg i do seem to pu a hell of a lot of fuel into her even tho i dont do that many miles, so, how would i be able to check if what he is saying is correct? and, does anybody know of anywere in the southport area where i can get my pierburg set up and similar work done by somebody who i can trust that isnt just gunna pull my pants down and take the shmykle rite outa me? thanks guys, any help would be loved..

Dizzy has nowt to do with fueling......

Pierburg carb? so its a 1.9 water cooled?

Does it hesitate when you try and pull away/out of a junction etc?
Is the dizzy the std electronic one with vac advance?

17-20 around town with a max of around 27mpg on a run really... (and you have to be careful to get that..)

Stuck float
choke not working correctly causes overfueling.

Running rough during warm up is the choke pull down unit not working.
Ask your mechanic to make sure the choke flap opens when the engine is accelerated, this test must be done with a cold engine.

ok, well the dizzy may not have anything tyo do with the fueling but he just sugested that as a seperate thing to do with the timing or something, it is a 1.9 watercooled but as to what dizzy etc it is, i just wouldnt know,and when im at a junction and then go to set off, it is a bit flat on setting off but then picks up, and i have noticed in the morning when i first start her up, the choke sticks on and a have to give the accelerator a quick sharp blip to get the revs to drop? does that mean anything? thanks guys much appriciate the help.

Giving the acc a blip is normal
Its part of the auto choke warm up process.
If the engine bogs on sudden acc then its fueling
poss the acc pump has a pierced diaphragm

i have a 1.9 watercooled too just on other side of southport in tarleton, let us know how it goes
