Hi all

Just wondered if anyone had fitted or used one of these (or other brands) on their van?

When we are on a trip i have four bikes on a fiamma rack hanging off the tailgate so i guess that one of these wouldnt add to the length - just sit underneath. It would also mean a lot of the cr@p i have to heave from one end of the van to the other could live outside - especially if it is wet or smelly

any experiences gratefully received.

Not the unit with the box attached but close to it. I use a Hitch Haul and bungee my boxes and stuff down. It works as it should and you are right about getting wet and sticky stuff out of the van.

Trouble with that, for us, is that we've got a swan-neck towbar, so the stability of it would be reliant on a clamp around the neck of the bar. I've had a bike carrier that worked like that, and I was never thrilled with it. If it was a two-bolt, you could put a sandwich plate between flange & ball - much more stable. US-style towbars use a 2" square "receiver", great for that kind of quickly-interchangeable stuff.
