Glow Plug Light Fault??

Hi All,

I have a 1.6td 1990 and have noticed that the glow plug light on the dash takes an age to go out, probably 1.5mins. It used to go out after about 15secs. The glow plugs are all new & she starts fine, but I find myself giving it 20secs then starting anyway before the light has gone out.

Any suggestions??

Thanks

Matt

Mine has always taken that long, not sure why but I can hear the relay click so I know it is working ok.

check the connections on the relay and switch
it could just be the relay

no, i have no pic, but the relay for the glow plugs is in the electrical connection box in the lhs front of the engine bay, on the firewall........ the temp switch is iirc on the end of the block
