Gearbox input shaft help

HI guys,

I know a few of you on here rebuild gearboxes etc so wonder if you can help.

Whilst replacing my motor with a 1Y I have been struggling to undo some of the previous owners work including not fitting a spigot bearing on the last engine. I have had the van for 2+ years and only really done about 400 miles since (I'm guessing) the previous replaced the engine/clutch with no spigot bearing.

Anyway could you guys have a look at this and see if you think the movement is excessive?

Cheers guys

WHS^^
shaft looks fine, normal lateral play there, doesn't look excessive.
Replace spigot bearing and input shaft oil seal, and check oil thrower too (remove bell housing to do this - not a long job and well worth it while you have the 'box out).
Cheers
Andrew
