Leisure battery into a 1986 Autosleeper

I've just bought a 1986 T25 autosleeper. I want to fit a leisure battery, but there is no wiring for it. I'm thinking all I need is the JK kit + battery + earth strap. Am I right? is there anything else I need? The van has a batt level indicator already, but this is obviously only showing the charge on the main battery.

Autosleeper I'm sure fitted a battery charging system with a relay for leisure mode and a circuit for the fridge.
have you checked under the van, under the seat, for any residual wiring.
the batt condition should indeed show the condition of the second batt under the passenger seat

Kev,
Thanks for the reply. I can only find one battery, it's under the driver's seat. No sign of any wiring for the leisure batt. The batt. indicator level shows fully charged, so I'm assuming this is referring to the main batt.

You can do this a number of ways...
I have two 85 amp leisures both of which are recharged using a deep cycle 4 phase charger at home and on short weekend trips are not charged using the alternator
or buy the kit and accessories and rely on the charge from the alternator fit and forget
I use a lot of power for TV's and Xboxes extra lighting outside plus winter camping the propex drinks battery power
in the summer a friendly farmer usualy lets me recharge a batttery!
the interior lighting has been connected to the main battery loom find the place this has happened, then start rewiring the leisure back in
