Hi all
My insurance is up for renewal next month so I thought I would start looking around and compare some quotes. Tried the usual internet sites but needless to say a LHD 1991 Sweedish Syncro Caravell is not on their computers. I tried Just Kampers, it was on there computer but I would have to phone them for a quote. Phoned them. LHD1991 Sweedish Syncro caravell? No problem. Interior changed to multivan so now only 7 seat instead of 8? No Problem. Alloy wheels? No problem. Bullbar? Big problem!!! None of the firms they use will quote for a van with a bullbar, If it is involved in an accident the bar will cause more damage. If I take the bar off No problem in fact a very reasonable quote.
Have any of you heard of this before?

Considering there's been ever-strengthening legislation on new bullbars (not just on bullbars on new cars) since 1999, I'm not altogether surprised if insurers shy away from the old-style garden-gate ones.
