At Rivendale camp site north of Ashbourne for tonight (wed 16/2).
Bit disappointed, £17.50 with hook up but no views and the site is advertised with onsite cafe, bar and restaurant but apparently the bar isn't open midweek yet this should have been pointed this morning when I phoned
Never mind we will redress the balance tomorrow night when we head for an 80 90 winter haunt, the Duke of York at Buxton. Spoke to the landlord and we should get a free night there if we eat and drink enough
shouldn't be a problem

I went to Rivendale at the weekend last year in winter and the pub was open - i seem to remember it being a cracking night in there
Does seem a bit off having to pay the same amount when its not open though...

At Precisely 08.28 this morning a volley of toots was heard in the foggy Peak District. Stop.
The toots had been expected at 08.22. Stop.
Traffic was flowing so what had delayed Mr Hulley for 6 mins this morning?. Stop.
Hit the snooze button, an extra plate of cornflakes or .....Stop.
This is putting pictures in my head I don't want. Stop. Stop. Stop.

Bl%dy foreign lorry driver doing 17mph all the way up to the A515 in thick fog is what delayed me and the mile-long tailback of traffic ... Stop Sadly when they built the Scirocco omitted the crystal ball needed to get round said foreign lorries, especially seeing as half the cars didn't even have sidelights on
